HideSeek, a pop-up experience for adults inspired by childhood nostalgia, opened in a 7,000-square-foot vacant space on Dundas Street West in Toronto March 30. The ticketed pop-up, which is open for two months, features 12 rooms, including one covered in green and pink Velcro ball and catch toys. The pop-up is the first project produced by Experience First Productions, a company founded by entrepreneur Lee Davis. The company commissioned some 20 local artists to work on the installations.

To celebrate the final season of political comedy Veep, HBO collaborated with the Hamilton Hotel Washington, D.C., to unveil a guest suite and lounge decorated with props from the series. In advance of the premiere, the hotel threw a party for 150 guests on March 27 to debut its replica of President Selina Meyer’s Oval Office on the 12th floor lobby. The entrance to the faux Oval Office includes the presidential seal. Terri Jannes Interiors designed the suite and Oval Office using original set pieces from HBO. Eventure's Hot-Air Balloon Statement Piece
Eventure's Hot-Air Balloon Statement Piece
For a bold statement decor piece, Montreal-based event management company Eventure has used a life-size hot-air balloon. “My favorite statement decor pieces are the ones we come up with that elicit that oh-so-sought-after ‘wow-factor’ from our clients. Brainstorming the seemingly impossible and then figuring out how to get it done in order to create never-before-seen, out-of-the-box decor elements that leave guests impressed and inspired is what drives our team. From life-size hot-air balloons to airport-runway stages to giant board game dance floors with giant LED dice, our motto is that when it comes to decor and design, making the impossible possible is what we strive to achieve," said chief events officer Steve Merling.
