For an employee incentive event or intimate corporate dinner where the chi flows freely--along with some exotic drinks--the Wild Lily Tea Room offers rare tea and sake tastings for groups of as many as 35. Scattered with Japanese lanterns and handmade tea sets, the Chelsea teahouse has a sunken carp pond filled with floating lilies and chrysanthemums, and is a tranquil spot for small receptions. The tea tastings typically last about 90 minutes, and include a lecture and demonstration by owner Ines Sun, while the sake tastings run about three hours and include a dinner of contemporary Asian cuisine. The teahouse can customize its presentations and offers a choice of more than 50 Asian teas and a selection of high end, hard-to-find sake.
