In January the Gotham Comedy Club opened its new $2.5 million flagship location a couple of blocks north of its original space. Housed in a 1929 building, the new club has 10,000 square feet of multilevel, column-free space. The interior was inspired by the 1920s and the Art Deco movement and also has Dan Dion’s photographs of famous comedians lining the entryway walls. A full dinner menu is available from the new barbecue restaurant R.U.B. The venue seats 300 for show performances and the lower level space, Vintage Lounge, holds 150 for receptions. —Anna Sekula
