A new program called Next that starts Friday at Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival features 26 films that delve into the lives of artists and their creative processes. The program includes the Canadian premiere of Beautiful Losers, which looks at young American graffiti artists in the early '90s. Also screening is director Peter Whitehead's Tonite Let's All Make Love in London, a film about art and activism in mod-era London set to the music of Pink Floyd, the Animals, and the Rolling Stones. The films—which vary from short to feature length—take place at various theatres in the city. Many directors will hold postscreening discussions with audience questions.
