The 18th annual Dream Halloween event to benefit the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation and Keep A Child Alive took place at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar on Saturday. Producer Empire Entertainment gave the cavernous hangar space a long entry: This year, instead of walking directly into the hangar, guests weaved their way through a forest setup, the company's Chiah Lee-Zampi said. The forest included five tombs that ranged from the least scary—for the young kids—to very scary—for the brave ones. Costumed forest dwellers inhabited the space and popped out of its many dark areas to frighten passersby. At the end of the forest were windows for children to collect their trick-or-treat gifts before exiting into the main space. Production designer Richard Lassalle and his team were responsible for the event's creative vision and execution. Earle Sebastian was the creative director and Natalie Galazka the producer.
