In time for award-season events and entertaining, the Soho House West Hollywood recently opened a new screening room. The space has room for 50 people seated, and is right for movie and TV screenings, or presentations and meetings.
The space has deep red velvet armchairs, a 25-foot communal lounging couch, cashmere blankets, and pillows and ottomans. Snacks and beverages can be arranged if desired.
In terms of technical specs, the facility includes a Barco DP2K-15C digital projector; 35-millimeter film in both 1:85 Academy Format and 2:39 Cinemascope; 2- and 3-D; a 16.5- by seven-foot screen; DCI-compliant DCP files; Blu-ray and DVD; DirecTV; Beta Camtho Cam; Dolby Surround 7.1; full 2048 by 1080 resolution; and QSC audio amplifiers and JBL speaker systems.
Adjacent to the screening room, the new club room is available to host pre- or post-screening receptions for as many as 50 guests. It can also be used as an interview suite by broadcast, radio, or print journalists.
