As part of a lively summer co-promotion, Hairroin Salon—the L.A. area’s only Sebastian Professional flagship salon—partnered with Urban Outfitters to launch Hairroin traveling salons at several store locations earlier this month. Kapture Vision produced the weekly launch parties that kicked off the weekends of braids, bangs, and blowouts.
Open to the public, the evening champagne receptions included live music, entertainment, and sweets and refreshments courtesy of Tender Greens. Adventurous attendees could receive permanent mementos of the event with real tattoos of the Hairroin logo by tattoo artist Patrick Kim. Those interested in—ahem—a little less of a commitment could take home custom silhouettes of their profiles hand-cut by Sylouettes by Sylvia.
Live entertainment also included classically trained pianist Matthew Irwin, who delivered energetic tunes—think Donna Summer and classic rock renditions—for the Santa Monica and Pasadena launches. The JR Black Band, a French Johnny Cash cover band, was on hand for the Studio City stop.
Avant garde hair demonstrations also took place throughout the parties, and models donned extravagant head pieces created by the professionals of Hairroin. The pop-up tent, designed and fabricated by Jared Gold, included salon stations and elaborate design details.
