Uncle Jack’s Steakhouse was designed and engineered by Willie Degel, an entrepreneur who demands perfection in everything he creates and operates. Like the conductor of a great orchestra, he oversees and plans every aspect of his business life from his successful Food Network show Restaurant Stakeout to the operation of his award-winning restaurants.
The Uncle Jack’s restaurant brand is legendary: the sophisticated decor was designed to accommodate grand events, large and small groups, private balcony parties, and full-service dinners. Though the overall atmosphere is similar across all properties, each of his New York venues stands out with unique detail. The 34th Street location is situated between the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Madison Square Garden and boasts a beautiful theater balcony overlooking the main floor. The Midtown Manhattan restaurant has a breathtaking spiral staircase leading to a wide-open area, perfect for corporate events. In Queens, the Bayside headquarters has a speakeasy on the lower level, very popular for pharmaceutical presentations and birthday parties.
Since his first opening in 1996, Degel has implemented an original style with a captain, a waiter, and a service staffer assigned to each table and event, anticipating every need. Behind the scenes, chefs inspect every food item for perfection, and the managers meticulously plan and execute a seamless event. Uncle Jack’s has proven time and time again to be an ideal venue for any and all occasions. Degel’s philosophy: Build one customer, one steak, one martini at a time. The customer is king.
Uncle Jack’s Steakhouse and Degel have received awards from Wine Spectator magazine, Sante magazine, the “5-Star Diamond Club,” and Crain’s New York Business magazine.
