The annual Andrew Richard Designs industry party offered 1,200 guests a veritable feast Wednesday at the patio furniture purveyor's downtown showroom. Guests could sample bites from some of the city’s top caterers, including Origin chef Claudio Aprile, who was on site making ice cream with liquid nitrogen. Caterers like e11even, Rose Reisman, L-Eat, and 10tation served food ranging from Argentinean ravioli to mango and melon ceviche at stations that lined the main floor. Upstairs, the party continued in the loft space and on the rooftop patio.
The event was dubbed "Secreto de Verano," or Summer Secret, and had a Buenos Aires theme. The pop-up-style party included a tango performance, a live art piece, a capoeira demonstration, and a cigar lounge. It was furnished by Andrew Richard Designs, naturally, and the hashtag #SummerSecret trended in Toronto that evening.
