Apropos of the entertainment industry's favorite pet cause—the environment—the eco-friendly Ecco Ultra Lounge opened this month in Hollywood for private events and will open to the public in December. Located in the Cahuenga Corridor in the former Tokio space, Ecco is constructed entirely of eco-conscious materials such as recycled wood and concrete. The club runs on electricity supplied by the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power's green power division, and has energy-efficient insulation, LED lighting, and toilets.
The venue is certified organic and serves only organic cuisines and liquors. The space is available for full or partial buyouts with a maximum capacity of 300. A private room with its own dedicated lighting and sound system holds 30.
