The upscale BLD in historic Old Toronto—short for "breakfast, lunch, dinner"—serves bistro fare centred on local, seasonal ingredients.
Inspired by classic New York diners, the venue's clean lines and black, white, and red colour scheme are matched with spacious leather booths, intimate tables, a long bar, and a host station that can double as a DJ booth. A custom-made chandelier acts as a focal point, reflecting light down the length of the dining room.
The 2,300-square-foot space has seating for 50 and standing room for 63, and can accommodate intimate events like a cocktail party or a corporate dinner. A semiprivate room is sectioned off with red glass and comes outfitted with audio and video-projection equipment.
Chef Marcus Montiero will customize the menu for events. The only requirements? Ingredients must be local and in season, as he only works with the freshest produce.
