1. Harrah's Updated Meeting Space

Right for small meetings, Harrah’s has just 25,000 square feet of space, making it seem tiny and manageable compared to other sprawling properties on the Vegas strip. The meeting space was recently revamped, with new wall coverings, carpeting, lighting fixtures, and finishes. A variety of updated meeting rooms, including the Elko, Ely, and Goldfield rooms, each hold fewer than 50 guests in a classroom-style arrangement.

2. Bally's Updated Meeting Space

Like Harrah's, Bally's is a Caesars Entertainment venue, and its meeting space recently got a facelift that included new wall coverings, carpeting, lighting fixtures, and other details. Renovated small space in Bally’s North Tower includes the Palace meeting rooms, most of which hold about 30 classroom style, and the Director’s room, a boardroom that holds 20.

3. Insert Coin(s)

In the Fremont East district of downtown Las Vegas, InsertCoin(s) is a twist on a classic arcade. Guests can choose from more than 60 refurbished arcade cabinets like Tron, Frogger, and Donkey Kong, as well as 40 video game consoles, like Atari 2600 and Super Nintendo. Groups can buy out the space for $5,000 plus tax and gratuity for three hours, which includes an open bar, eight gaming couches with two gaming consoles at each couch, and a DJ. Catering is available upon request.

4. Hyde Bellagio Northern and Southern Terraces

SBE's new Hyde Bellagio opened on New Year's Eve, with design by Philippe Starck with Gulla Jonsdottir of G Design. The 12,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor space has a variety of spaces right for entertaining small groups. The Northern Terrace, which holds 50, sits directly on the water of Lake Bellagio and features windows, a glass wall, and access to a private bathroom. The Southern Terrace, which holds 60, sits opposite the garden and has a large, glass-backed bar.

5. Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina Private Dining

Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina, at Crystals at CityCenter, has a modern-look interior and a prime view of the retail destination. In the private dining room, fabric-paneled walls are printed with illustrations of French, Spanish, and Italian villages. A huge wine cabinet, also known as the "wine tunnel," lines the adjacent corridor. There's room for 60 seated in the private dining room, or about 50 with a podium or presentation area for meetings.

6. Buca di Beppo Wine Room

Located on Excalibur's Castle Walk mezzanine level, the Buca di Beppo Strip location opened in December. The 8,500-square-foot restaurant has a private area known as the wine room that holds 50 guests. The poster room holds 30 and is curtained off for privacy. The venue has the restaurant group's signature quirky decor, complete with irreverent photographs, strings of multicolored decorative lights, and gingham tablecloths.

7. Old Homestead Steakhouse Private Dining

New York's Old Homestead Steakhouse opened its first West Coast location at Caesars Palace in December. With more than 6,000 square feet of space, the new restaurant holds 250 with a full dining room, private dining room, lounge, and bar. For intimate groups, the private dining room holds 30 people for entertaining or meetings, and there is also a semiprivate table for 12.

8. Public House Boardroom

Public House, opened on New Year's Eve at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, is a spin on an old-school tavern or gastropub. The venue is located near the meeting space at the Venetian and Sands Expo, and has private space including a boardroom that holds 11. There is also a semiprivate space that can be become private by closing sliding doors; it seats about 30. Both areas have audiovisual capabilities.

9. The Barrymore Private Dining

The Barrymore opened Labor Day weekend at the Royal Resort, offering a seasonally rotating menu, signature cocktails, and a wine list with 50 selections under $50. On Convention Center Drive between Las Vegas Boulevard and the Las Vegas Convention Center, the 1,400-square-foot venue's decor uses a palette of cream, chocolate, and blue. The space accommodates 60 guests for a seated event in dining room one and 40 in dining room two. There is also a fireside patio that seats 20 or holds 35 for a reception.

10. 35 Steaks & Martinis Private Dining

In September, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino introduced its newest restaurant, 35 Steaks & Martinis. The bar and lounge area has room for 35, and there's a private dining area for 12. Decor accents include custom chrome-plated chandeliers suspended from the main room, as well as black pearl glass pendants and white shell sconces in the private dining area. The bar and lounge area has chrome and glass shelving. Apropos of the restaurant's host venue, rock 'n' roll influences are seen in raw black-and-white photography throughout the space.
