BizBash IdeaFest Los Angeles: More Than 1,200 Event Professionals Gather at Industry Show

Nadia Chaudhury
June 27, 2013

More than 1,200 event professionals gathered at BizBash IdeaFest Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 19 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This year's show featured hands-on morning workshops, trade show floor exhibits, entertainment, and the launch of the first Event Innovation Forum—Los Angeles. Planners were inspired by their surroundings and found new ideas to incorporate into future events.

The excitement kicked off Tuesday night with the BizBash IdeaFest preparty at Takami Sushi & Robata Restaurant. Attendees stayed at the Millennium Biltmore Los Angeles downtown, blocks away from the Los Angeles Convention Center.

On the day of the show, the schedule was packed with events; the event schedule was readily available on our mobile app provided by DoubleDutch, BizBash’s exclusive mobile app provider. Eventbrite ran online and on-site registration, while Blueprint Studios designed on-site registration, the registration lounge, and the Event Innovation Forum.

The morning kicked off with the Workshop series, offering four different sessions for attendees. NMR provided all audiovisual equipment for the sessions while Aramark provided healthy and delicious food for the attendees. Best Teambuilding and Corporate Events sponsored the morning treasure hunt where other generous exhibitors provided gifts for attendees. Attendees could visit the Eventbrite Pop-Up Lounge, furnished by CORT Event Furnishings, for various educational sessions and mimosas. kool. Party Rentals furnished the mini lounge where attendees could relax, network, and watch featured flash education sessions on the trade show floor stage.

Later in the morning, the Event Innovation Forum kicked off with a packed room and a stellar lineup of speakers. Blueprint Studios, the executive designer of BizBash IdeaFest Los Angeles, provided event production, design, and decor for the forum and mini stage on the trade show floor. Night Vision Entertainment provided the stage and technical direction for the Event Innovation Forum, while Showpro provided lighting and video production and LA Sound managed all audio needs on the day of the show. Attendees received special Event Innovation Forum portfolios for note-taking, created by Wizard Creations. After the Event Innovation Forum, attendees explored the trade show floor for BizBash’s Innovator Cover Party featuring cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from Aramark.

The event continued at the BizBash IdeaFest Los Angeles after-party held at the stunning Icon LA Ultra Lounge rooftop right across the street from the convention center. In true BizBash fashion, the party continued at the after-after-party at the Vortex Dome, co-sponsored by the Event Planners Association.

BizBash extends a very special thanks to everyone involved in the show, including Badgetec, Backdrops Beautiful, Brightroom, Global Experience Specialists (GES), and our exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees, all of whom made BizBash IdeaFest Los Angeles an event to remember.
