The South End’s newest restaurant, Noche, opens Monday. The subterranean space consists of a 46-seat dining room, a wraparound bar, and a private dining room. Noche—“night” in Spanish—is one of a few late-night dining destinations in the area, serving modern American cuisine until 1:30 a.m.
The interior design theme of the restaurant is a play on its name, with 44 handblown Italian pendants, meant to mimic a star-filled evening sky, while two wall sculptures in the dining room illustrate the different phases of the moon. The white Silestone quartz tabletops, dark mahogany wood, brown textured wallpaper, and ivory leather seats create a clean, homey ambience that is meant to evoke warmth and offset the space’s modern design aesthetic.
The entire space seats about 100, while the private dining room can accommodate as many as 12 guests and offers access to an independent sound system and a 60-inch TV.
Signature dishes and cocktails include the peanut butter cup cocktail, a kiwi raspberry martini, Chilean sea bass, and petite filet with Manchego potatoes.
