2. VIRAL VISIBILITY: Invisible Children's 30-minute cause marketing campaign on war criminal Joseph Kony has become one of the fastest-spreading viral videos. The "Kony 2012" video posted to YouTube March 5 has outpaced efforts from other brands and organizations by a large margin, garnering more than 112 million total views by Thursday and even attracting attention from White House Press Secretary Jay Carney. MUSIC CLUB MOVES: In a strategy that sparked interest across the entertainment industry, the owners of the new CBGB—which has yet to find a home—hit SXSW to promote and source bands for their upcoming festival. PINTEREST ON COPYRIGHT ISSUES: The photo-sharing site has responded to the concerns raised about users posting copyrighted material on its platform by releasing a statement that asserts it is protected under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
