1. THE TIMES GOES TOGUY’S: Talk about bad timing: On the same day New York Times restaurant critic Pete Wells gave Guy Feiri's new restaurant, Guy's American Kitchen and Bar, a scathing, no-star review, the newspaper's sales team threw a 160-person event at the venue. Here’s the review that got so many people talking this week: http://nyti.ms/STPZ1P

2. INSTAGRAM PROFILE PAGES: Since the photo-sharing site rolled out Web pages for users, AdAge looks into how brands feel about the update: "Brands...are showing some enthusiasm for Instagram Web pages, even if they don't quite know what to do with them yet. While brands Ad Age surveyed haven't yet observed a rise in followers attributable to web profiles, they're intrigued by the prospect of having a place to showcase their content in one place and possibly to direct users there from other media." http://bit.ly/TGyxMN

3. SKYPE'S INTERACTIVE ADS: Gone are the days of simply chatting on Skype: the video conference platform plans to add interactive display ads and video placements starting in 2013. AdWeek: "In one example...an auto brand could develop a car configuration tool for the Skype platform that users would be able to play with during a call with a friend. The user could customize a car, compare their version with their friend’s version, talk it over, then schedule a test drive." http://bit.ly/WaB7BJ

4. JOY CAMPAIGN: Tech startup Elluva is preparing to launch its first product, but in the meantime the company is focused on is its Inflict Joy campaign. Elluva C.E.O.
