GO DADDY CLEANS UP SUPER BOWL ADS: Go Daddy, the Web-hosting company notorious for its sleazy Super Bowl ads, said it will air two 30-second ads during this year’s game that contain no sexual innuendo. Adweek: “The tonal shift has been in the works for some time. When Go Daddy hired Deutsch New York as its ad agency in mid-2012, it said wanted to move beyond the sleazy marketing for which it had become synonymous since the infamous 2005 Super Bowl spot with Candice Michelle, spoofing Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction from the year before.” http://bit.ly/1aqCnbm
2. FINES ISSUED IN CIRQUE DU SOLEIL PERFORMER’S DEATH: Cirque du Soleil and the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino are facing fines after a report from the Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration found that safety violations contributed to the death of a performer earlier this year. Both companies are said to be planning an appeal. 3. CLAIRE DANES TO HOST NOBEL PEACE PRIZE CONCERT: Emmy-winning actress Claire Danes will host the 20th anniversary Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo, Norway, in December.
