8. Public House at The Venetian

Public House, located at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, is a spin on an old-school tavern or gastropub. The venue is located near the meeting space at the Venetian and Sands Expo, and has private space including a boardroom that holds 11. There is also a semiprivate space that can be become private by closing sliding doors; it seats about 30. Both areas have audiovisual capabilities.

1. Nobu Hotel

Later this year, the 181-room Nobu Hotel will open within Caesars Palace on the Strip, a project its backers say is the first celebrity-chef branded hotel venture. David Rockwell designed the interiors.

2. Hakkasan at MGM

Opening in early 2013, Hakkasan at MGM features five levels of event space. The 75,000-square-feet venue will house a restaurant, lounge, and a nightclub with modern Chinoiserie decor.

3. Las Vegas Marriott

The Las Vegas Marriott completed an $800,000 renovation this summer. One of the renovated spaces, the lobby area, offers a modern decor with grand lighting fixtures. Other refreshed spaces include the hotel's Cafe 325 Restaurant and Lounge, the library, and the pool area.

4. Vinyl at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's newest live entertainment venue, Vinyl is slated to debut this month. The multi-functional space will have a speakeasy vibe decorated with distressed wood floors and exposed high ceilings. The V.I.P. section will be elevated with leather banquette seating and its own bar. On both sides of the main stage, high-definition screens will project images and videos.

5. Bourbon Room at The Venetian

The newest bar and lounge at The Venetian, the Bourbon Room features an 1980s theme inspired by the musical Rock of Ages. The 3,385-square-feet bar offers an extensive bourbon menu, 26 HD screens, and has nightly dance performances to 80s classics. The lounge can accommodate 212 guests and is available for buyouts and private events.

6. Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas

The Four Seasons Hotel features two new hospitality suites located on its 38th and 39th guest floors. The 1,890-square-feet suite can accommodate 50 and offers four 55-inch flat-screen LED televisions, each with its own media hub.

7. Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesar's Palace

Chef Gordon Ramsay is joining the Caesar's Palace later this year with his second Las Vegas restaurant, Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill. The 290-seat restaurant will have a backdrop inspired by traditional London red telephone booths, and will have a British pub-inspired menu.

9. Bally's

Bally's meeting space recently got a face-lift that included new wall coverings, carpeting, lighting fixtures, and other details. Renovated small space in Bally’s North Tower includes the Palace meeting rooms, most of which hold about 30 classroom-style, and the Director’s room, a boardroom that holds 20.

10. Harrah's Updated Meeting Space

Right for small meetings, Harrah’s has just 25,000 square feet of space, lending it a manageable feel compared to other sprawling properties on the Vegas strip. The meeting space was recently revamped, with new wall coverings, carpeting, lighting fixtures, and finishes. Several updated meeting rooms, including the Elko, Ely, and Goldfield rooms, each hold fewer than 50 guests in a classroom-style arrangement.
