The third C in Matthew Kenney's empire is now open, following sister restaurants Canteen and Commune. Commissary takes over the former space of Matthew's, which closed for a year following a fire and was redesigned by David and Eve-Lynn Schefer and architect Richard Lewis. The sleek, color-free space features black-stained wood floors and walls, a polished white circular bar, black leather chairs, plush gray banquettes and sheer white curtains. Kenney's cuisine is modern American fare with Asian and Italian influences, and the space can accommodate 120 for cocktails or 94 for a sit-down affair. The starting price to close out the space is $20,000. --Suzanne Ito
