Oscar's Battling Bashes

Entertainment Weekly's fourth annual Oscar night party at Elaine's will get competition from Mercedes Benz, who will host "a celebrity party at the TriBeCa Grand Hotel," according to a source quoted in The New York Post's Page Six, who also sniffed, "The thing at Elaine's is more for advertisers this year."
