Bloomberg's New Inner Circle Role

At this year's Inner Circle event on April 6--the notorious party where politicos and journalists roast each other--Mayor Michael Bloomberg will be on stage as a political performer instead of at the pricey banquet table of his media company. So Blooomberg LP will not host its usual lavish pre-dinner reception this year as it has since 1999, reports Crain's New York Business. Instead, ConEd will take over hosting duties this year. Crain's adds that Bloomberg LP will host a reception for the White House Correspondents Association dinner on May 4.
