Marketing and event agency US Concepts launched its new division, Urban Concepts, which will market to Hispanic and African-American consumers, with a party entitled "El Ritmo Vivo" (the Rhythm Live) at its office last week. The Chelsea space became a lounge where more than 100 clients and guests had cocktails and hors d’oeuvres served by Berthsy Ayide and danced to hip-hop spun by DJ Beverly Bond. Def Poetry Jam’s La Bruja performed poetry and Latino-inspired music, and Faith Evans concluded the event with songs from her new album.
“US Concepts has been involved in event marketing with a large focus on the urban arena,” director of client services Kevin Jones told us. “We wanted to take all of our resources and put them under one division.”
