Here in New York at the McGraw Hill Building, the Media Summit kicks off, with sessions through tomorrow. Thursday Victoria’s Secret celebrates Valentine’s Day early with a gift promotion in the Herald Square store and a party later at Show. The hum of Fashion Week winds down as shows wrap up on Friday. The Association of International Photography Art Dealers opens the Photography Show at the Seventh Regiment Armory Friday; the expo continues through Sunday. And Friday in Torino, Italy, the winter Olympic games get started—the competitions continue through February 26.
Saturday the Toy of the Year awards are presented at the Marriott Marquis. The Toy Industry Association opens the American International Toy Show Sunday at the Javits Center and showrooms around town. Exhibits run through Wednesday. Also on Saturday is the Human Rights Campaign’s benefit at the Waldorf-Astoria. On Sunday the Designers and Agents fashion trade show begins at the Starrett-Lehigh Building; the show ends on Tuesday.
Monday, In New York magazine and the Hotel Association of New York City host the Hotel Experience awards at the Marriott Marquis. Also Monday night, Oscar de la Renta sponsors the Museum of the City of New York’s Director’s Council Winter Ball. The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show gets started on Monday at Madison Square Garden and continues through Tuesday.
