Madison Square Garden owner Cablevision is in talks with the Empire State Development Corporation to move one block west, taking over the Farley Annex of the James A. Farley Post Office, Crain's New York Business reports. The Annex rests on the west side of the post office—the future site of Moynihan Station, the forthcoming Penn Station extension that will add 850,000 square feet of commercial space to the existing station beneath the garden. The current complex would be razed and replaced by two office towers.
