Tampa Hotel Adds Two to Staff

The Quorum Hotel-Tampa, a 272-room boutique-style hotel in Tampa's Westshore district, has hired two new people. Sales manager Carlos Salas, a five-year hospitality vet, will primarily be responsible for the Northeast markets and portions of the Tampa Bay local market, while executive chef Javier DeJesus will be in charge of all food and beverage operations, including catering, banquets, and overseeing the hotel's restaurant, the Blue Water Grill. Before joining Quorum, Salas was the group sales and business travel sales manager at the Westminster Hotel in New Jersey. Most recently, DeJesus was the executive chef for Timpano Italian Chophouse Tampa.
