3-D Film Festival Wraps Up in Cocoa Beach

The 3-D Film Festival, which began last week in Orlando, finished its tour of central Florida on Sunday with its final event at Cocoa Beach on Florida's Space Coast. In its second city during the two-weekend festival, the films were shown within the 3-D lounge at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront hotel, from Friday to Sunday.

The hotel's furniture and lounge chairs were arranged in theater format, and computer screens were set up to play 3-D games from Iz3D, a pioneer in the field. At other stations, guests could be hooked up to BrainPaint software administered by an on-site assistant.

Festival organizers hope to continue promoting 3-D technologies to the public next year.
