Restaurant and wine bar Funky Monkey Wine Company expanded its Orlando chain—the flagship store is downtown—in September with the opening of a new location inside entertainment complex Pointe Orlando. The 3,000-square-foot eatery occupies the former Grape space and seats 150.
A lounge for about 20 sits at the entrance and can be used as prefunction space or for semiprivate dinners. A patio can accommodate about 50.
The interior boasts a purple and yellow palette accented with dark wood trim and decorated with black-and-white photos. Anchoring the space, a 12-seat wooden bar has a mirrored back wall and pendant lights.
In addition to more than 150 domestic and international wines, the restaurant’s menu offers sushi, fresh seafood dishes, and a variety of burgers and sandwiches. The restaurant can also provide wine seminars and tastings for buyouts of as many as 200. Off-site catering is available for groups as large as 500.
