Somm is one of the newest venues at the I-Drive 360 dining and entertainment complex. The intimate 1,200-square-foot wine bar opened March 15 near the entrance of the Orlando Eye. Somm offers a curated selected of boutique and fine wines from the world’s top wine producing regions, with 60 varietals available by the bottle or three-, six-, or nine-ounce pours. Guests can also choose from a selection of Florida craft beers and artisanal sodas. The space has a contemporary design with wood accents and seats 105 people. Outside catering is allowed, and upon approval of its food permit, Somm will serve a selection of hot and cold dishes from Slate, a nearby restaurant under the same ownership.

Groups looking for an activity-based venue may want to consider Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park. On May 1, the Kissimmee-based attraction launched a new teambuilding ropes experience for groups. The activity includes a professional facilitator who explains the connection between high ropes courses and workplace challenges. Participants climb in groups of two or three, going as high as 50 feet in the air and traversing swinging bridges, cargo nets, tight ropes, and more. The experience ends with a 425-foot plunging zip line. Groups can customize the experience based on their needs. The 15-acre property also has a covered pavilion that can be used for a meetings and meals.
