BiZBashFla brought its Creative Environment FunShop to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel for the first time this September. The event's tropical Latin theme lured event professionals to network and participate in the bustling spectacle.
Event producers Richard Summers of launch and Richard Painter of Wizard Connection designed a fun-filled and colorful environment. Interactive conga combo RitmoPalooza entertained the crowd with sophisticated salsa and Latin rhythms.
The networking area showcased sponsors including Panache: An Event Rental Company, who dressed six tables in a variety of looks, including a modern setting with baroque touches in gold and rose, a dramatic Asian table in orange and gold, and a periwinkle-hued paisley table. Lowe and Behold Event Accents topped the tables with different floral arrangements, ranging from a stark and romantic bouquet of orchids to a classic display of yellow and pink roses in a gilded vase. The general session began with a big bang—of drums, that is. Drum Café, a group of South African drummers, energized the crowd with their performance. Next, the BiZBashFla staff invited sponsors to chat about their companies, and the day's program in a relaxed, talk-show-style atmosphere.
The networking break was out of the ordinary: the hotel staff served made-to-order crepes from movable cooking stations, and a smoothie bar offered fresh combinations of fruit drinks. After the break, the Swan and Dolphin hosted a one-hour wine tasting seminar, led by the hotel's director of food and beverage, Tony Porcellini, a certified sommelier. A variety of red wines and cheese platters were offered on long rows of tables that filled the room.
