Key decision-makers gathered at the Reo Center in Tampa's popular Westshore district on January 17 to network at the launch party for the ultimate reference guide to local businesses, the 2008 Tampa Bay Business Journal Book of Lists. The book is considered the essential guide to hundreds of the area's hottest ranked buyers, companies, and employers in their field.
Angel Will, event planner for the Tampa Bay Business Journal, turned to Frank Clemente of conceptBAIT to create a networking event that would have guests socially and visually excited. Clemente took those directions and ran with them, transforming the simple office-building lobby into a three-dimensional version of the Book of Lists' cover image, an artistic photograph of a palm tree. The use of rich browns, lush greens, and shades of sky blue were essential in creating a consistent theme. The three-story atrium-style lobby became a swanky tropical oasis, complete with stylish seating areas sporting bold black pillows featuring the book's cover art screened on each.Executives and colleagues dined on a buffet of assorted treats and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Catering by the Family created a visually stunning signature cocktail for the evening, the Palmtini, featuring flavors of pear and pineapple. Upon leaving, each guest received an executive gift bag featuring a savory chocolate treat imprinted with the book's cover image and various designer desk accessories.
