During the day, SeaWorld’s new Manta roller coaster allows park guests to "fly high and dive deep" with an innovative head-first, face-down design that sends riders diving in between panoramic aquarium tanks and soaring out into the open air. After park hours, however, the thrill ride-meets-aquarium will serve as a unique group event venue, available for rental starting in September.
Manta’s cave-like exhibit area can host 300 for receptions and offers floor-to-ceiling views of the aquariums that house an array of sea life, including exotic seahorses, a Pacific octopus, and more than 300 manta rays. The event package includes guests' use of the ride.
For larger events, groups can book Manta in conjunction with a dinner for as many as 600 at SeaWorld’s Ports of Call venue, and the park can also offer after-hours rides on additional attractions at the adjacent Penguin Plaza, including the Kraken roller coaster and the splashy Journey to Atlantis water ride.
SeaWorld can arrange for entertainment options such as a DJ, a live band, and strolling entertainers, and for especially large groups, buyouts for the entire park are available.
