Here's a look at two new live music and comedy venues with offerings for events.
1. Pine Street Live opened in downtown Orlando last month in the former A.K.A. Lounge space. The 3,500-square-foot concert venue has an open layout that accommodates as many as 300 people. There are two performance stages that measure 220 square feet and 64 square feet.
The main floor also has two bars, a 42-inch HDTV, and seating for 45 at hightop tables, though additional seating can be arranged on request. The club features live music throughout the week and allows outside vendors for private parties.
2. After 11 years in one location, Sak Comedy Lab moved to a new space in downtown Orlando in February. On the second floor of the CityArts Factory, the comedy club has a 200 seat theater that can be rented for private shows or other events. A portion of the seats can also be moved to accommodate receptions for 75.
Down the hall from the theater is a lounge with a built-in bar and eight highboys that can host about 40. A portion of the theater that’s currently used for standing room only will be turned into a separate 15-seat space when a wall dividing it from the stadium seating is erected in the coming months.
