Upon its opening in February, the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa became the newest and largest hotel on Clearwater’s Beach Walk, which has undergone a $30 million revitalization of its shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. Between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway, the resort has 32,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space.
The second floor Aqualea Grand Ballroom is the largest indoor meeting area at 4,000 square feet; it seats 250 or holds as many as 400 for a reception. The space can also be separated into three rooms for groups of 135 to 160 in each.
There are five additional event spaces on the second floor, ranging from 990 to 1,800 square feet. The largest of the five, the Belleair Room, features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, can accommodate 120 people, and can also be used in conjunction with the covered South Terrace for an additional 150 guests.
The eighth-floor pool deck is outfitted with 20 climate-controlled cabanas and has nearby indoor and outdoor event areas. The 950-square-foot Caladesi Room can be combined with the adjacent Vista Terrace for a total of 5,000 square feet of event space overlooking the Gulf.
The resort’s 4,000-square-foot Sky Terrace atop the 16th floor offers views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal Waterway and can host 150 for receptions. It can also be covered. Four of the suites on this level also have private terraces that can host 30 for meetings or post-work cocktails. There are an additional four suites with terraces on the 17th floor for groups of 15.
There are three dining options on the property, including the 144-seat Shor American Seafood Grill, which has indoor and outdoor seating.
All of the event spaces have Wi-Fi and individual climate controls. The hotel also has audiovisual equipment and on-site technicians.
