The Pointe Performing Arts Center opened in July on Orlando’s International Drive. The 13,000-square-foot live performance venue is on the second floor of the Pointe Orlando shopping, dining, and entertainment complex near the Orange County Convention Center and can host private performances or events for groups as large as 700 people.
The venue consists of a 7,000-square-foot performance hall with a 60- by 40-foot stage and an additional 6,000 square feet of backstage and technical areas.
The theater has seating for 300, or the chairs can be removed to accommodate larger groups for receptions. The theater is equipped with a full sound and lighting system, and technical personnel are available on request. Outside caterers are allowed for private events, though the facility does not have a kitchen on site.
The Pointe produces plays and musicals throughout the year, with a new show each month.
