Hargrove Inc., a national trade show and event staging company based in Lanham, Maryland, announced new ownership this week. President and founder Earl C. Hargrove Jr. has sold the company to Carla and Tim McGill, his daughter and son-in-law, who were previously Hargrove's vice president and C.E.O., respectively.

"We've been running the company for the last seven years as a team," Tim McGill told us yesterday, adding that the company recent opened a Las Vegas office. "This development will ensure our growth in the coming years."

Hargrove produces roughly 1,000 national events per year, which have included various inauguration parties, the Washington Auto Show, and Meet the Press's 60th anniversary at the Newseum, with Pope Benedict XVI's upcoming visit to Nationals Park on the horizon. When it comes to Washington, McGill adds, "With the opening of the Gaylord [National Resort and Convention Center] and the ongoing hotel renovations in the city, we expect business to keep growing."
