VENUE: Cozy Lounge Domicile

If home is a comfortable place with cushy furniture, dim lights and low-key atmosphere, then Stephan Dessaint's new restaurant and lounge Domicile could be considered a home away from home--and that might be just what eventgoers need right now. Designed by Miguel Cancio Martins (he did the Buddha Bar and Man Ray in Paris), the bar and lounge area features comfy chairs and heavyset tables. The dining room in the back offers a soothing palette of muted red, gray and green fabrics, hardwood floors and a fireplace, giving the room a warm, cozy feeling. It's tucked away on a quiet West Village street, perfect for an intimate get together. The space can accommodate 110 for cocktails, or seat 75 for Italian, French and American-inspired cuisine. --Suzanne Ito
