Billed as “an evening of caviar, unbridled mistletoe-ing, precious diamonds, and magnificent desserts,” online magazine UrbanDaddy toasted 500 of its readers with a holiday party Wednesday night at the Stephen Weiss Studio.
The event, produced by BMF Media, delivered on its promise of accessible luxury with a room of oysters, caviar, and champagne, a dessert bar piled high with macaroons, and a branded suite on the second floor from De Deers brand A Diamond Is Forever.
Downstairs, in the main room, guests waiting for Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings to take the stage were distracted with drinks from a Patron sponsored bar and passed plates of open-faced lobster rolls, risotto balls, and prosciutto-wrapped grissini from the Little Owl.
In the smaller suite upstairs, UrbanDaddy advertising partner A Diamond Is Forever hosted a branded dessert bar, with showcases filled with diamond jewelery from its new Everlon collection. Those willing to brave the cold could also step outside onto the roof deck, where the trees were covered in Christmas lights and a giant diamond-shaped ice sculpture anchored another bar.
The only unfilled promise of the night was the absence of full-on debauchery. Despite the presence of mistletoe, everyone in attendance seemed able to contain their passions.
