New Look for Serena

When we bumped into stylish caterer Serena Bass (of Serena Bass Catering) recently, she told us she's preparing a makeover of her two-year-old boite in the Chelsea Hotel. Serena will go from its current red Moroccan incarnation to a look Bass calls "Auntie Mame goes to Bombay." (If that doesn't give you a striking mental image, it will include pink and silver walls, with a giant black and white checkerboard pattern on the floor.) The lounge will close for renovations for two weeks later this month, and then reopen after Labor Day, just in time for Fashion Week.
