The Whitney Museum’s annual gala, which hits the museum on October 18, is asking guests to come prepared with their own additions to the decor in the party space. The invitation calls for a dress code of black tie and the Pantone Matching System (PMS) color blue 630; the museum's director of special events Kim Goldstein intended for guests' dress to correspond with a significant color in the "Art Into Life" art piece Richard Tuttle created for the gala. After the minimalist approach to decor at last year's gala, we suspect the matchey-matchey look will add a little drama this year.
