Friday the International Art and Design Fair commences at the Seventh Regiment Armory; the fair continues through Tuesday. Highlighting the weeklong festivities of Architecture Week, Open House New York takes place this Saturday and Sunday, with free tours at over 100 sites throughout the city. Monday is Columbus Day, and the annual parade takes to Fifth Avenue.
Next Tuesday is a busy day, with the United Nations Association’s Global Leadership award dinner at the Waldorf Astoria and Americans for the Arts’ National Arts awards at Cipriani 42nd Street. Also that day, the Brussels Convention and Visitors trade show comes to Harry’s Loft. And at Self magazine’s monthlong Self Center on Fifth Avenue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America Foundation relaunches the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign with the Courage Night benefit.
