As we reported a month ago, designer David Monn will be back designing the much-fussed-over Costume Institute gala at the Met this year. (You’ll remember that Monn took over decor duties last year from Robert Isabell, who had done the event for years.) Met spokeswoman Bernice Kwok-Gabel confirmed today that Monn will design this year’s gala, which will be Monday, May 1, with an “Anglomania” theme inspired by sponsor Burberry. Monn will be working with Vogue special events director Stephanie Winston Wolkoff and editor (and gala chairwoman) Anna Wintour.
