Boca Landmark Undergoes Pricey Renovation

The Boca Raton Resort & Club is updating its look in a series of phases with the help of several renowned designers. Highlights include French artist-architect Thierry Despont's design of the grand lobby and retail area, plus designer Alexandra Champalimaud's remodeling of the Boca Bungalows, one of five new accommodations, scheduled for completion in fall 2006. The resort's dining options are also being enhanced with the introduction of New York's La Goulue, a French bistro, also opening in the fall, with designs by Despont. The 280-seat Old Homestead Steakhouse, being designed by Tony Chi, is scheduled to open sooner, near the end of spring 2006.
