Packed Milken Conference Wraps in Beverly Hills

April 26 wrapped up the three-day, ninth annual Milken Institute Global Conference at the Beverly Hilton hotel. More than 2,500 attendees filled seats at a record 100 sessions focusing on the theme of "Expanding Opportunities in the Global Marketplace"—new thinking on international policy, from energy independence to educating the work force. More than 380 speakers filled this year's program, including half a dozen Nobel laureates, 100 corporate C.E.O.s, the president of the Czech Republic, an astronaut, a network anchor, a Tour de France winner, the FDA chief, and a former NATO commander. Next year's 10th anniversary conference is already scheduled for April 23 through 25 in Los Angeles.
