Discovery Upfront Tour Stops in Beverly Hills

Los Angeles was the last stop on Discovery networks’ upfront presentation tour, which began on April 6. XA produced the event at the Regent Beverly Wilshire, with the theme “Let’s All Discover” in mind. Guests experienced Discovery’s various networks through oversize fabric light boxes (intended to symbolize tribal totems, each representing one of the five major Discovery networks); a multicultural menu; pressure point massages intended to educate guests on stress-relieving techniques (under the Discovery Health channel banner); a British-inspired drink trolley with British memorabilia and drinks like Pimms and Guinness (representing BBC America); exotic animals to highlight the Animal Planet; and sketch artists and tattoo designers just for fun.

XA produced the entire national tour, which included events in the American Museum of Natural History in New York, the Max Fisher Music Center in Detroit, and the Field Museum in Chicago. More than 1,500 advertising executives attended.
