PEAS WITHDRAW FROM JACKSON TRIBUTE: Due to “unavoidable circumstances,” the Black Eyed Peas announced Wednesday that they were pulling out of tomorrow’s Michael Jackson concert "Michael Forever the Tribute Concert" in Wales. 2. GOLDEN GLOBES T.V. RIGHTS TUG-OF-WAR: The Hollywood Reporter: "The trial between the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Dick Clark Productions to decide who controls broadcast rights to the highly rated Golden Globe Awards – after being postponed at the last minute in September – will now probably not happen before March 2012 and could be put off until sometime late next summer or beyond." The postponement could mean that the rights for the 2013 telecast become an issue.

LAS VEGAS: The Henderson Executive Airport and the Las Vegas Convention Center will host the National Business Aviation Association next week, bringing 1,000 business aviation exhibitors. The trade show is expected to draw about 25,000 attendees with more than 100 aircrafts on display, and convention officials estimate about $40 million in revenue for Clark County.

LOS ANGELES: After two years at Spin Shoppe PR, Thursday was Ralina Shaw's last day. She has started her own company, Ralina Shaw Public Relations.
Peter Berghammer, a senior strategist for independent public relations and marketing firm Public Communications/Worldwide died unexpectedly Saturday from heart failure. He was 51, and had worked extensively in the marketing industry. A memorial service will be held on October 17.
Dick Clark Productions and AEG announced Thursday that they have agreed to a three-year extension deal to continue holding the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. This year's show will be broadcast live November 20 on ABC.

ORLANDO: Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center is in the midst of a $50 million renovation project that will create a 10,000-square-foot event lawn that can accommodate 1,100 people and a two-story, 16,000-square-foot sports bar and entertainment venue with seating for 400.
The three-day Festivals of Speed Orlando kicks off tonight with a reception inside the Galaxy Aviation hangar at Orlando International Airpot. Hard Rock Cafe and Dragonfly Sushi are providing food, with beverages from the soon-to-open Aura Bar & Restaurant. Additional vendors include Nelsons Tents, Tim Eggers Lighting, and Gator Guards.
