The Residence Inn hosted a red carpet event at the Newseum on Thursday morning to unveil its new advertising campaign to the press. The commercials, which focus on the brand’s effort to provide “room to stretch” and “room to chill” in its facilities, feature a cast of wild animals—Opal the elephant, Stanley the giraffe, and the Van der Beeks penguins--and premiere to the public on March 26.

Keeping with the “wild” theme, a 12-foot-tall giraffe named Dude from California-based Hollywood Animals was brought from Florida to greet and take pictures with nearly 100 guests. The male herbivore was kept inside a heated 14-foot tent provided by Sugarplum Tents outside the museum.

During the event, which took place on the seventh floor of the museum, guests were treated to popcorn and a sneak peek of the three commercials. They were also given the opportunity to learn some wild facts about the animals and how they relate to the new campaign. The museum’s official catering company, Wolfgang Puck, provided lunch complete with a Thai station to honor the elephants of Thailand.
