Chocolate and bright green tones accented the space, and crystals and shiny metals contributed to the sense of opulence. R. Last Thursday the Bell Event returned to Toronto's Direct Energy Centre with the theme "Aurora: Dream Machine." During cocktail hour, the "dream machine" was built by performers with cogs found scattered in the space. Once the machine was complete, an actor playing "the dreamer" hopped aboard and drove it into the dining room, encouraging guests to follow. An animated version of the dream machine was then projected onto the six screens surrounding the dinner tables.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic celebrated the anniversary of the opening of the Walt Disney Concert Hall at its 10th Anniversary Concert September 30. The event, comprising a reception, concert, and post-concert dinner, had a “Starry Night” theme. To create a celestial look, Shiraz Events draped the top of the dinner tent with an LED star-drop curtain, which resembled a twinkling galaxy. A custom chandelier added softly glowing light, and the walls were draped with silvery fabrics.

The Women's Wear Daily Beauty Summit took place at Metropolitan Pavilion on May 21 and 22. The meeting had a sleek, all-white design from Shiraz Events. At breakfast, guests sat in clear Miro chairs at communal tables topped with white linens. The floral arrangements were simple birch vases holding cobble moss balls. "WWD aims for all summits to have an environment that is 'digital, modern, and global,' so we chose to work with the space at hand and create a futuristic aesthetic by the use of all white," said Brian Hanley of Shiraz.
