Christie's East hosted a crowd of Upper East Side grand dames and fashion journalists AWOL from 7th on Sixth for a presentation of "Couture Jewels: The Designs of Robert Goossens." (The collection goes up for auction later this fall.)
Guests--who sipped wine and nibbled hors d'oeuvres from Glorious Food--encountered a huge bouquet of flowers from Ron Wendt Designs near the entrance. After brief remarks from Richard Madley, president of Christie's East, Goossens told guests a few stories about the inspiration for his work while models from Ford Models showed off some of the pieces.
