Drag queens, actresses, and models were on hand to view the fall 2006 collections of designers Vivienne Westwood, Sophia Kokosalaki, and Thakoon for shoe manufacturer Nine West. Held at Skylight, the event was produced by Ethos Design and began with a cocktail party sponsored by Belvedere Vodka and Moët & Chandon, in which guests could view glass-encased pieces from the collections, which will be available at Nine West and Macy's stores beginning this fall as part of the shoemaker's efforts to jazz up its image. Each of the three shows lasted roughly 10 minutes, displaying dozens of pieces on a traditional long white runway that was flanked by nontraditional leather seating. Notable among the 750 guests were actress Maggie Grace (of Lost fame) and MisShapes DJ Leigh Lezark. DJ AM spun a mix of 80’s and rock.
