Created by nightclub vet David Judaken with partner Tony Daly and designer Gulla Jonsdottir, Syndicate Hospitality Group’s newest venue, Eden, had its grand opening earlier this month in Hollywood. It occupies a former Syndicate space, which has undergone a complete renovation. The 5,000-square-foot space has room for 450.
At Eden, a mirrored vestibule leads to an outdoor area complete with mature trees, and the patio bar is adorned with a 10-foot diameter sculptured teak-root back bar.
Inside, the focal point is the DJ booth bordered by oxidized helix partitions to create a dramatic center stage. Walnut wood overlays are layered horizontally, evoking the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, and Honeycomb house-inspired brass nests decorate the ceiling. Wood-framed ethnic motifs evoking water lilies are present throughout, for a look that bridges Eastern and Western inspirations.
Recessed lighting in amber with accent pieces in browns and earth tones deck the space, including abstract reflective-steel tree cutouts that flank the main bar, all of which contrast with the lasers, CO2 cannons, and confetti that enliven the experience. Elevated platforms weave throughout the 19 V.I.P. tables to create a high-energy atmosphere.
